It is forecasted that sea will be rough near shore and the low lying areas (Mormugoa, Panjim, Vasco da Gama) may experience surges (gushing of sea water into these areas) intermittently during 12:30 hours (IST) of 09-01-2021 to 23:30 hours (IST) of 11-01-2021 due to the combined effect of high period (18-22 sec) swell waves, having 1.0 -1.4 m height and Spring Tides Strong winds with wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting 60 kmph likely to prevail over Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Gujarat coast on 09th and 10th January 2021. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas during the above period.
