It is imperative to preserve fish in ice or in cold- storage as it is highly perishable food commodity. The ice factories & cold storages are managed by fisheries co-operative societies. Day by day it is becoming a costly affair to manage the ice factories & cold storages. Hence concession is accorded to Fisheries Co-operative Societies at the rate of 40 paisa per unit .The reimbursement according to use of electricity is paid directly to MSEB on behalf of Fisheries Co-operative Societies by State Government.

बर्फात किंवा मासे साठवून ठेवण्यासाठी हे अत्यंत आवश्यक आहे कारण ते अत्यंत विनाशकारी अन्न कमोडिटी आहे. मत्स्यपालन सहकारी संस्था द्वारे बर्फ कारखाने आणि थंड स्टोरेज व्यवस्थापित केले जातात. बर्फ कारखाने आणि शीत संग्रहालयांचे व्यवस्थापन करण्यासाठी दिवसभर दिवस हा एक खरा प्रसंग बनला आहे. म्हणून मत्स्यव्यवसाय सहकारी संस्थांना 40 पैसे प्रति युनिटच्या दराने सवलत दिली जाते .विद्युत वापराच्या आधारावर भरणा एमएसईबीला थेट राज्य सरकारकडून मत्स्यव्यवसाय सहकारी संस्थांच्या वतीने दिली जाते.
